Experienced Facilitator in Phuket

I have been a team building facilitator in Phuket since 2003, initially working as a freelance facilitator for companies around Thailand before moving on to become the regional manager of a resort-based team building and corporate training facility with branches across Asia. I later founded my own team building company in Phuket in 2013 under my own name, Alun Gathergood (connect on LinkedIn).

The team building experiences I offer can be conducted indoor or outdoor. Some involve travel, some can be operated within hotel grounds. With over twenty team building options on our program menu there is plenty to choose from and we’ll find something to meet your requirements. Our most popular team building in Phuket remains the Amazing Race-Phuket Edition and our unique twists on this classic event ensure that teams find it highly memorable.

I lead all of my team building programs personally and do not use sub-suppliers. I work on a first come, first served basis so it is recommended that you make your initial contact well in advance of your expected event date. By leading all my events with the same close-knit team of facilitators, I am able to guarantee the quality of our work.

Team Building Phuket FAQs

What team building activities do you offer?

My team building programs include all the well-known options such as Amazing Race, Masterchef, movie-making, sports days, problem-solving initiatives, telematches, and indoor games. But I’ve also got quite a few unique options that offer something completely different. Request a copy of my menu for a full overview.

How many people can you handle?

I’ve worked with team building groups in Phuket as small as 7 and as large as 500. I’ll recommend the right program to fit with your group size. As groups get larger, there are fewer options that would be suitable since not all events scale up well. But there are several options on my menu that are specifically designed for very large groups.

What venues do you work with in Phuket?

I specialise in hotel-based team building programs and have worked with most of the four and five-star resorts in Phuket at some point. Wherever you stay, my team and I will be able to work with you and we’ll coordinate directly with your hotel’s event team to handle the logistics.

What is your fee structure for team building?

My rates very much depend on (a) your group size and (b) your selected team building program. As group size increases, the rate per person decreases. Request a copy of my team building menu for a full rates breakdown.

How long do your team building programs last?

I usually recommend a half-day team building program for groups in Phuket with many of my events lasting around 4 hours. This gives enough time to run a worthwhile and memorable event, without rushing. However, every group’s schedule is different so I have plenty of options ranging from two hours to five hours. In some cases, a full-day program which takes teams out and about might work.

Is Phuket Old Town a good place to stay for our team building retreat?

In some ways, yes. It’s certainly different from the usual beach resorts and tourist areas. It’s got a more ‘local’ feel to it and some really nice areas for your colleagues to explore. Lots more history and local culture with some great restaurants and cafes and quaint shopping areas and markets. There are far fewer hotels to choose from though so you’ll likely find your hotel options limited.

If you, as the event organiser, would like something a bit different from your previous trips to Phuket, Old Town is a really nice option. With regard to team building in Phuket Town, it’s a great location for an Amazing Race for example because there’s so much to see there and it will create some unique memories.

Excellent Safety Record

My team building company has an excellent safety record and all facilitators are trained and certified in first aid. We very rarely have to open the first aid bag though. When designing my programs, I am always thinking safety first and we do not offer any type of activity that could be classed as high risk.
