Workshop Overview

As an independent facilitator and trainer whose web domain is my own name, I rely heavily on my own personal brand. Since I launched my own business in 2013, my brand has certainly adapted and changed. However, these shifts have simply further clarified and reinforced the underlying values that came naturally all those years ago. Personal branding is a topic that I am quite passionate about.

This workshop has been designed as an interactive and reflective journey that guides participants through the process of understanding and shaping their own personal brands. It begins by establishing a clear foundation, exploring what personal branding means and why it has become increasingly important in today’s professional landscape. With the use of my own bespoke branding framework, participants will challenge common misconceptions and consider how a strong personal brand can support career growth, leadership presence, and professional influence.

Building on this foundation, the workshop moves into a self-discovery phase, where participants reflect on their strengths, values, skills, and motivations. We answer the questions “who are you?” and “what do you represent?” Every person in the room will already have a personal brand – they just might not know it yet. Think of your personal brand as your professional reputation. We all have one. If we have ever worked with anyone else in a professional capacity, we are already seen in a particular light. Others’ perceptions of us are usually pretty accurate.

Interactive Approach

Through guided activities and engaging partner and group work, workshop participants will begin to identify what sets them apart and how their unique experiences and perspectives contribute to their overall value. With this insight, participants will be able to clearly define their personal brand with a focus on remaining authentic.

Finally, the workshop shifts toward practical application. Participants will explore strategies for increasing their visibility and strengthening their professional reputation, while also identifying common pitfalls to avoid. The session concludes with structured reflection and action planning, enabling participants to leave with clear, achievable next steps to continue developing and sustaining their personal brand.
